  • Thank you for a lovely stay. We are originally from the North East but now live in London so this was a great base to catch up with family & friends. We chose the cottage because of the wheelchair friendly facilities and were not disappointed. If only other cottage owners were so considerate! The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the Jammie Dodgers! Very cosy & homely; hope to visit again. Thank you. Pat, Ian & Stephanie, January 2012
  • We have gathered here for my best friends daughter's wedding. People from all over the globe are here, from India, Norway, New Zealand, Canada, Australia and USA. This is a lovely, welcoming & comfortable place. We enjoyed staying here. It is like a home away from home. Great walks, farm life, fresh pure air and weather was very friendly. Really a great place to stay. Would definitely like to come back. Thank you hosts. The Sheggills,USA, May 2011
  • My brother and I took our 86 year old mother to visit relatives and needed a cottage that provided facilities for elderly or a disabled person. Our minimum requirement was a walk in shower and hand rails. To our surprise Swallow Cottage at Burradon Farm offered more than this. We were delighted with the cottage, the friendliness of the owners and how convenient it was to family and shops in the Newcastle area. The cottage was well appointed and fitted out. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone, and highly recommend Swallow Cottage if your need is for a disabled/elderly person. Elizabeth, Sydney, Australia, August 2010
