Dog Friendly Accommodation
All of our cottages are dog friendly and we welcome your well behaved pet! We are keen to make Burradon Farm as dog friendly as possible so we thought it would be helpful to outline some house rules for our doggy guests to ensure that everyone has a safe and happy holiday:
Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds – please make sure that bedroom doors are closed just in case and remember to bring their favourite doggy blanket or bed to sleep on.
Muddy dogs are happy dogs – but please ensure that your pet is rubbed down/dried off outside of the cottage so that they are clean and dry before they come inside. Just let us know if you have forgotten your doggy towel and we will provide one for you!
Please do not leave your dog in the property on their own as chatty dogs do not make good neighbours! There are plenty of countryside walks straight from the door, and dogs will love the nearby beaches to stretch their legs and take a dip. There are lots of dog-friendly cafes and pubs in the area to choose from too, so the whole family can enjoy spending time together.
For the consideration of other guests and animals on and around the site, guests are asked to keep their dog under control around the properties, and on a lead if necessary. We are a working farm, so this is particularly important around livestock.
The properties at Burradon Farm are located in a courtyard formation in a peaceful setting, so please try to ensure your dog respects any neighbouring guests, particularly while out for a late night sniff!
Please pick up after your dog wherever they are and dispose of poo in an outside bin, even if it is raining. Our open grassed areas are for use by all so we would kindly request that you try not to allow your dog to wee or poo here so that the grass is clean for children playing. In shared garden areas please ensure poo is removed immediately so that other guests don’t have to look at it and your dog won’t accidently step in it and walk it back into the house.
A hoover is provided within the property to keep it free from dog hair – we recommend that this is used daily to keep your cottage hair-free. If properties require excessive cleaning an additional fee will be chargeable to cover the cost of additional cleaning time.
There is a small charge of £25 for your dogs holiday. Maintaining our high standard of accommodation is important to us and any damage caused by pets is chargeable. We do ask that all dogs holidaying with us are fully housetrained and well past any chewing stage as all damages must be reported and paid for.
There are private enclosed garden areas in Wheatlands Cottage, Haselor House, Forge Cottage and Pele Cottage.
There are shared enclosed garden areas in Briarhill House, Swallow Cottage, Jacobswell House, Chaff House, Maltpool Cottage, Buttermilk Cottage, Rose Cottage, Honeysuckle Cottage and the Farm Cottages.
Thank you for your help to keep Burradon Farm a great place for both humans and dogs – our resident dogs Bess and Skye will be excited to meet you!
