Burradon Farm is the perfect place for a multi-generational holiday or staycation. Whether you are happy to share or prefer your own space, we have lots of options to choose from.
If you are happy to share, our larger properties Jacobswell House or Briarhill House sleep up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms.
Eating in or sharing a takeaway? Jacobswell House has space for an extra table if needed and will accommodate up to 14 guests.
Looking for a ground floor bedroom? Briarhill House has a downstairs bedroom with ensuite perfect for those who no longer like the stairs.
Or how about one of our smaller properties sleeping 2, 3, 4 or 5? Ideal for those who prefer a bit of space to themselves and somewhere to ‘escape’ to if needed!
Many of our cottages are ground floor and easily accessible for guests who are a bit less mobile or for those with younger children.
We also have two cottages which are wheelchair friendly with wetroom facilities – Swallow Cottage and Wheatlands Cottage.
All of our cottages are within walking distance of each other. You can check out our site map to see their proximity, or perhaps you might prefer one not quite next door!
Our bedrooms are really spacious and the majority have zip and link beds so you can choose single or superking beds.
We also offer guest beds (one per cottage), perfect to squeeze an extra person in if needed. Of course we have cots and high chairs available too.
Staying on a working farm offers families a fantastic escape from the every day. There is also plenty of outdoor space for kids to run off some of their excess energy!
Grandparents tell us that they love relaxing in one of our pretty one-bedroomed cottages with their family close by in a neighbouring property. It’s the perfect balance of precious family time with the added bonus of some peace and quiet at the end of the day!
From toddlers to teenagers, there’s so many family friendly places to explore in the North East – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Family walks or beach days along the wonderful Northumberland coast, followed by icecream or pizza? Sounds like the perfect day out!
Explore Hadrian’s Wall, stately homes and castles or climb the lighthouse and go rock pooling at Whitley Bay.
There are countless museums to discover together, shopping trips to share or more adventurous activities to try! How about go karting or high ropes, or a boat trip, zoo or trip under the city into the Victoria Tunnel?
Of course we cannot guarantee the weather, but there’s plenty of rainy day activities too! If you are lucky, Granny and Grandpa might take the kids to the cinema while you enjoy a spot of shopping or a meal out.
A multi-generational holiday can be a great opportunity to give you all some quality time together and it’s very easy to plan a stay at Burradon Farm!
Simply select the cottage/s perfect for your group and book online. Or if you prefer, just give us a call to have a chat about which properties would suit your group best.
Don’t forget that we are also dog friendly at Burradon Farm so they can join in the family fun too!
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
