February Half Term is approaching so why not book a break at Burradon Farm?! Our minimum stay is 3 nights which gives you plenty of time to explore the wonderful North East.
There are loads of great things to do and places to explore this half term.
Fresh air is free on our beautiful coastline! Stay local at Seaton Sluice, Blyth, Whitley Bay or Tynemouth. Or head up north to the awesome beaches at Alnmouth, Warkworth, Cresswell or Bamburgh.
We have history and castles in abundance – even our very own Pele Tower located at Burradon Farm. Check out Tynemouth Priory, Warkworth, Alnwick, Dunstanburgh or Bamburgh Castles.
Love a bookshop? Why not visit Seven Stories, Barter Books, or one of the fab independent bookshops in Whitley Bay or Corbridge – perfect for booklovers!
Fancy some culture? Book a show at the Theatre Royal, Tyne Theatre, Customs House or the Glasshouse International Centre for Music.
We are spoilt for choice with fantastic museums. Families will love Beamish Outdoor Museum, the Life Science Centre, Discovery Museum or Great North Museum.
Art Galleries are also in abundance up North! Try the Laing Art Gallery, Biscuit Factory, Shipley Art Gallery, Hatton Gallery, or the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.
North Tyneside’s Smiley World Art Trail sees 15 bright and brilliant giant sculptures, based on human emotions, located across local town centres and coast.
Garden fan? Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum is well worth a visit for the snowdrops alone!
Closer to home why not explore Gosforth Nature Reserve, nationally important for its rare wildlife and plants. Or Rising Sun Country Park – a haven for wildlife and an ideal place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
Of course there are also loads of National Trust or English Heritage sites to visit in the area. Closest to us is the wonderful Seaton Delaval Hall. Or why not try Gibside, Cragside, Belsay or Tynemouth Priory and Castle.
Whatever you choose – have a fantastic February Half Term!
