Shaun the Sheep will be taking to the streets of Newcastle for a baa-rilliant Art Trail this summer.
Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne is following in the footsteps of the fantastic Snowdogs, Snowmen and Elmer.
The flock of 45 big and 70 small Shaun the Sheep sculptures will take over Newcastle city centre and surrounding areas.
Talented artists are currently beavering away with their paintbrushes to bring the baa-rilliant art trail to life. The trail starts on 19th July and runs for 10 weeks – all raising funds for St Oswald’s Hospice.
St Oswald’s are a wonderful hospice rooted in the North East who provide outstanding specialist care to adults and children with life-limiting conditions.
Newcastle Civic Centre will be providing a central location for the Shaun on the Tyne HQ and a venue for the finale events at the end of the trail, including the Farewell Weekend and Grand Auction.
A pop up ‘Hub’ will be located at the Civic Centre throughout the trail, where you can pick up merchandise, maps and join in with activities.
Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne is free to participate in and accessible for all. We are sure this will be a baa-rilliant way of spending a few hours while exploring our wonderful city and surrounding areas!
How many cheeky little sheep will you find?!
