October half term is looking a little bit different to normal, but there are still plenty of options to enjoy as a family group. Why not wrap up warm and arrange a socially distanced get together outdoors with friends and family!
With spectacular beaches, parks and countryside there are lots of fantastic opportunities to tire the kids (and adults) out.
Family attractions in the area are open and welcoming visitors. The kids will love Tynemouth Park, Tynemouth Aquarium and Go Ape. Or how about exploring one of the stunning castles and gardens in the area. We have so many fabulous ice cream parlours to choose from too – a perfect treat for everyone!

Only 10 weeks to Christmas, so get started with your Christmas shopping and support one of our many independent stores. Tynemouth, Whitley Bay, Morpeth, Hexham or Corbridge are all well worth a visit. Or hunker down in a local hostelry and enjoy some local cheer in front of a roaring fire.
Dogs love the North East too and are welcome at Burradon Farm this October half term. Take a walk from the doorstep of your cottage or hop in the car for a short drive to a deserted beach.
Rainy days are perfect for puddle jumping and windswept beach walks or chilling indoors with a movie or a good book. Put the kettle on, grab a takeaway afternoon tea or evening meal and relax.
