Sunderland Air Show takes place on 24th – 26th July 2020 at Roker and Seaburn seafronts. With lots of activity on the ground, exciting stage programme and thrilling flying displays, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy. Aviation fans love the Friday night launch which includes sunset aircraft displays and fireworks to end the evening perfectly.
It is the biggest free annual air show in Europe and attracts over a million spectators every year. 2019 saw the Tigers Army Parachute Display Team and the Blades and Bronco aerobatics team delight the crowds. The Royal Navy also traditionally have a war ship off the coast every year.
If you can’t make it to Sunderland, a trip to Whitley Bay or Tynemouth will do. You can usually get a great view of some of the action from anywhere along the North East coast!
Just a 20 minute drive from Burradon Farm the air show is a must while you are here in July. We are sometimes lucky enough to get a glimpse of the Red Arrows doing a fly by along the coast!
The air show takes place whatever the weather (almost!) and features some brilliant flying displays. Watch this space for more information about the 2020 Sunderland Air Show.
