  • The Burradon Farm Houses & Cottages are for anyone looking for some "home to home" accommodation. MUCH more practical than staying in an hotel or B&B. My husband and I, our daughter, son-in-law and 19 month old grandson thoroughly enjoyed our recent 10-day stay in Chaff House. The system for collecting and depositing keys outside office hours is excellent. The ENTIRE house is equipped with ALL the mod cons from kitchen utensils to a hair dryer!There was even tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided. The beds are very comfortable and there's plenty of storage space. There are plenty of lawns where children can let off steam. Our grandson really appreciated visiting the horses, donkeys and - tractor! A 6 minute walk brings you to the local bus stop for going to Blyth or Newcastle and supermarkets are within easy reach by car. The staff are very friendly and efficient.   • My brother and I took our 86 year old mother to visit relatives and needed a cottage that provided facilities for elderly or a disabled person. Our minimum requirement was a walk in shower and hand rails. To our surprise Swallow Cottage at Burradon Farm offered more than this. We were delighted with the cottage, the friendliness of the owners and how convenient it was to family and shops in the Newcastle area. The cottage was well appointed and fitted out.   • We brought 34 people and a dog here last week for our production of 'Peter Pan' at Whitley Bay. Cast and crew loved it here - can be private or can socialise. Accommodation is beautiful and flexible. Management here superb, nothing too much trouble. We stayed an extra week and had a fabulous week.   • I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for 9 months. The location was ideal in terms of distance from where I was working but was also within easy reach of not only Cramlington and the surrounding area but Newcastle itself was only a mere 10 minutes away. I wanted something rural even though the farm cottage was only a mile from the edge of Cramlington, I could easily have thought I was in the middle of the countryside and not just because I was surrounded by fields of not just grass but donkeys, horses, goats and various other animals which kids would love as much as I did. The cottage itself was clean and spacious, well equipped and still held all its charm with its wooden beams and spilt door entrance. It was well furnished and maintained throughout. The garden was great for when we get a rare glimpse of the sun. I found the proprietors very helpful indeed and they made my stay very pleasurable.
