1. BOOKING & PAYMENT Payment of the deposit secures the booked dates.(except for cheque payments, see below) Online bookings Online bookings require a deposit of 50% of the total cost to be paid at the point of booking. The balance must be paid 14 days prior to the first day of the arranged stay. A reminder email will prompt the payment of the balance. Telephone, email and post bookings All the major credit and debit cards can be accepted and the transaction processed upon receipt of the card number, expiry date, security code and address of the applicant. Bookings made by telephone or email with these details can pay the deposit of 50% of the total cost by card. Cheque payments, made payable to Mrs. J Younger, take days to process. An online or card payment may take your required dates. Your booking is secure when you receive a receipt from Mrs. Younger. In all cases, the final 50% payment is due 2 weeks before the commencement of the visit. The Proprietors reserve the right to alter the booking arrangements in the event of unforeseen circumstances. If cancellation by the proprietor is necessary the monies received shall be returned in full. 2. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE The cottages are available from 3pm on the day of arrival and guests are requested to arrive before 6pm. If a delay is expected, please telephone Mrs. Younger on 0191 2683203 or John on 0780 1814922. At the end of your visit, please vacate by 10am and bring the keys to the farm house. If you need to leave before 8am, please see Mrs. Younger the evening before to make arrangements. Change over day is usually on Saturdays, but some houses and cottages have been allocated a Friday changeover. By prior arrangement, changeover day can be any day of the week except Sunday. 3. CHANGES TO BOOKING Up to 2 weeks before the start date of a visit it may be possible to alter a booking for which there will be an administration charge of £40.00. 4. PERIOD OF HIRE Weekly bookings are preferred but short breaks can be booked anytime except during EASTER, SUMMER & CHRISTMAS holiday periods. Short stays during holiday periods can be arranged one month beforehand by ringing Mrs. Younger on 0191 2683203. Longer stays are welcomed. Stays over one month could attract a discount. Ring for details. 5. DETAILS OF GUESTS The address and mobile telephone number of the client who makes the booking, is required. If it is a company booking, the name and address of the lead visitor is required. Also, details of the names of guests staying, and their ages if under 18years old. Clients are requested to agree that all under 18year olds will be supervised by an adult for the duration of the stay. 6. CARE OF THE PROPERTY The clients shall keep the accommodation and all furniture and fittings in the same state of repair as at the commencement of the stay and shall leave the property in the same sate of cleanliness and general order in which it was found. Please inform of any breakages. 7. LIABILITY The proprietors shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury to clients or ant third parties during the stay. 8. MAILING LIST We wish to inform present clients that the intention is to keep a mailing list so as to be able to inform visitors of any special offers, changes or improvements at Burradon Farm. 9. CANCELLATION POLICY If you have to cancel your stay, please notify Mrs. Younger immediately and every effort will be made to re-let the property. There will be a refund of the deposit paid up to 6 weeks before the start day of your stay if you have to cancel your booking. This operates in the event of your having to cancel your visit because of a bereavement or sickness in the family or any similar unforeseen occurrence outside your control which prevents you taking your holiday or cottage stay. There will be a refund of 50% of all monies paid up to 3 weeks before the start date of your stay if you have to cancel the booking. If the stay is cancelled in the period leading up to 3 weeks days before the start date of the visit, no monies shall be refunded. |
